My favorite part is that Loung could sense what happened to Ma and Geak. At the same time that was my least favorite part, because it was sad.

I agree with Kayla. My favorite part was that Loung could sense things that happen. My least favorite part is that Loung has no clue what happened after going to see Ma and Geak and finding out they died. I dislike the fact that Met Bong yelled at her and Loung is not allowed to express what she found out.
ReplyDeleteI agree with Kayla and Vanessa because Loung knowing what happend without even being there makes me able to visualize it with her description, my least favorite part is that Loung hadn't seen her family for a long time and when she goes to see the again she finds out there dead. That must have been a really shoking moment for Loung.
ReplyDeleteI agree with Kayla,Vanessa,and Madison because Loung is a very smart girl and for her to sense things that is about to happen is amazing.In someways I feel sad for Loung because she haven't seen her family in a long time and when she does see her famiily she finds out that they are dead.This must be really hard for her.
ReplyDeleteWhat I like most about this chapter is the ambition Loung had towards seeing her mother for what she thought was the last time. The risks she took to walk all the way back to the camp shows that when you want soemthing badly, you are fearless and determined. The predictions she made about her mother are probably correct and that makes me sad because nobody deserves to lose their mom at 7 (??). But she is a tough little girl and I do believe that God doesn't give us something we can't handle.

When I read the whole part about Loung's mother and Geak I was shocked.
Once again, this is another chapter that was full of surprises and shocking moments. Everything happened so fast. I agree with everyone on their opinions about their favorite part. My favorite part (which was mostly the same as everyone else) was when Loung imagined what had happened to ma and Geak because it showed me as a reader that even though Loung wasn't at the location to witness it, she had sensed the way she thought it was going to be. The sad part was that she couldn't see them one last time. My least favorite part was when Loung had those gut wrenching feelings before she went to go visit ma and Geak. It's sad to think that something bad is happening to your family members and you can't be there to help them. Loung had gone to Ro Leap to visit Ma and Geak, but they left with the soldiers. What was Loung going through when she heard those words? I also agree with Vanessa because Met Bong was intentionally being mean to Loung when she came back to the camp, but she didn't know what Loung was going through.
ReplyDeleteI dont know how loung manages to keep here anger hiden from everybody. Now with ma and geak gone. I think it is very sad to lose a relative.
ReplyDeleteMy favorite past of this chapter was when Loung imagined the way Ma and Geak died. Even though it was sad I like how detailed that section was, it made me feel as if I was in that field. My least favorite part of the chapter was when Loung went back to the camp just to get yelled at. I wouldn't like someone yelling at me after a close family died, so I bet Loung was very angry and was in mental pain.
ReplyDeleteMy favorite part of this chapter was when Loung imagined Ma and Geak's death. I felt Loung's pain and I felt like I was her. My least favorite part was when Met Bong yelled at Loung. She had no idea what Loung was going through.
ReplyDeletemy favorite part of the chapter was when Loung imagined what happened to ma and Geak because it showed that her imagination is so advanced that she can get out of alot of things alive. My least favorite part was when they took Ma, because they separated the family, and they will probably never be back together again

ReplyDeleteI think I don't have a favorite chapter and also my least favorite part is when geak and ma dies and that part of the chapter is very shocking.
ReplyDeleteWhat i like about this chapter is how Loung is able to get a picture of what happens to Ma & Geak. Either way Ma & Geak were going to die, but i felt that it was cool to know that Loung gets like Visions towards what happens to them. My least favorite was when Ma & Geak dies. :(
ReplyDeleteMy favorite of the chapter is when Loung goes to the camp to visit Ma & Geak and realizes that they were'nt there. Its very touching...Loung automatically knew what happened to them
ReplyDeleteMy favorite part of the chapter was when Loung was hideing her anger while not showing any sadness just showing bravery.Though my least favorite part of the story was when Ma and Geak past.

I had also thought it was interesting how every time something bad happens, Loung is able to so sense it.
However, my least favorite part was when Loung goes to look for her family, she realizes that they are no longer there.
It must be difficult to fathom something like that after all Loung's been through.
I feel so horrible for Loung because i couldnt deal with soemthing so depressing like when the lady tells loung that the khmer Rouge has taken their mom and Geak . If it was to be me going to through what Loung is going through I think I would break down and not be as strong as Loung.

ReplyDeleteGeak and knew she had to find out what her feeling was about, so she just acted on it. My
least favorite part of this chapter was how three days later she was back at camp but didn't know what happen to her. I want to know what happen to her and wonder if she ever found out.
My favorite part of this chapter is how she feels sick and that something is wrong. Also i like her point of view of ma and geak's death because I would think about the same thing. My least favorite thing in this chapter is the how she forgot about ma and also how she went back to the camp. I would have never gone back but then she would probally die. so never mind.
ReplyDeleteMy favorte part of this chapetr though it is an extremely disturbing and sad part as well, is when Loung imagines what happens to Ma and Geak. I could really feel her pain and it hit me really hard, like to go so far to visit your family and then find out they're dead, i can't even imagine.

ReplyDeleteMy favorite part was when Loung imagined and feel that they were going too kill Ma and Geak Even though it was a very sad and painfull part, and the part i didnt like of the chapter was when Loung went back to the camp and in the moment start yelling at her I wouldnt like someone to yell at me after a terrible feeling and may happen, so Loung may be very angry and was in mental pain :(
ReplyDeleteI dont have a favorite but i did like how she type visioned what was happening but when a part of her family died she mustve felt terrible becuase your scarred for life after somthing like that
ReplyDeleteI like the part where she is getting stronger. and the worst part is when she knows that her ma and Geak are dead too.
